PENITH serves two purposes: it's Lil Dicky's second album - and his first in nine years - but it's also the soundtrack to his aforementioned TV show, DAVE. All 22 songs on the tracklist have appeared in one way or another on the show throughout it's three critically acclaimed seasons. They don't follow any chronological sequencing from the show but are instead positioned in a way that makes most sense for a standard rap album.

Abigail ★★★★★

I’ve been waiting nine years for this, and the packaging is gorgeous—the gatefold sleeve has a really nice matte finish. The 22-track tracklist is exactly what fans of the show needed.

Emma D. ★★★★★

The vinyl itself is dead quiet between tracks, which makes a huge difference for an album this dense with production. I've had it on repeat since it arrived, and the way the bass hits on "We Buy Diabetic Test Strips" is noticeably fuller than streaming.

Joseph ★★★★★

The gatefold sleeve feels sturdy, and flipping through all 22 tracks on the tracklist makes it clear this is a proper double-album experience. Sound quality is crisp on my turntable, and the indie-exclusive pressing adds a nice collector’s touch. Nine years was a long wait, but this was worth it.
