If it's trite to say HOT WATER MUSIC's third album for Epitaph is easily its finest album yet, it's also the goddamn truth. When it comes to forceful, fluid and intricate punk-inspired sounds, few -- if any -- roar with the kind of expression and precision found on The New What Next.

"If there was one Hot Water Music record to own, it would be this one," Jason states. Succinctly put, Black. Succinctly put.

Available at Superjumbo Records in Downtown Aurora, IL.

The guitar riffs hit with such clarity on vinyl, and the album's flow from track to track feels even more cohesive than on digital. This pressing really brings out the intricate punk layers I missed before.

I've been spinning this one non-stop since it arrived, and the intricate guitar work really cuts through on wax in a way that makes the punk energy feel almost live. The whole pressing feels solid, no warps or skips, and side two flows into those fluid, forceful tracks exactly like the band intended

The vinyl pressing on this record is so warm and clear, it makes the intricate guitar work really pop. I've had it on repeat since it arrived and it just gets better with each listen.
