Pedigree doesn't get much richer than produced by Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy & Frank Marshall (among others), written by Steven Spielberg & Chris Columbus, and directed by Richard Donner (he of The Omen, Superman-The Movie & Lethal Weapon fame). Throw in jazz maestro David Grusin for a playful, energetic score album, and you've got a beloved classic that gets handed down from generation to gob-smacked generation. This special-colored vinyl pressing lands in time for the film's 40th Anniversary.

The gatefold sleeve is really sturdy and the green vinyl looks fantastic spinning. Dave Grusin’s score sounds richer and warmer than I remember from my old CD, which makes the whole listening experience more immersive. If you’re a fan of the movie, this is the definitive way to hear the music.

Finally, a pressing that does justice to Dave Grusin's score—the green vinyl is dead quiet, and the warmth on "Fratelli Chase" comes through beautifully. Spun it twice in a row last night, and the 40th anniversary package feels like a proper tribute to the film's adventurous spirit.

This green vinyl pressing sounds fantastic, with a nice warm depth that really brings out the score's adventurous spirit. The 40th anniversary packaging is a great touch for any fan of the film.
