“‘The Devil Isn't Red’ systematically shakes down like it was the rocker's score to upper- level Tetris – no matter how swiftly the pieces descend, Hella manage to drop them in place.” – Pitchfork

Harper ★★★★★

The remaster really brings out the percussive chaos I remember—the vinyl’s surface noise is practically nonexistent, letting those frantic drum fills breathe. It’s like hearing the Tetris score on steroids for the first time again.

Riley W. ★★★★★

Twenty years on and this pressing still hits like a brick to the skull—the vinyl is dead quiet between tracks, letting those frantic drums and synth stabs land with zero surface noise. Spun it three times in a row, and the remaster really brings out the bass rumble underneath all that chaos.
