Mark Pritchard & Thom Yorke are set to release their debut album as a duo via Warp Records. Tall Tales showcases Pritchard’s mastery of archaic machines unearthed in synthesizer archives, guiding the music down unexpected and experimental paths. Yorke meanwhile delivers a haunting and expansive vocal performance, evoking Radiohead’s OK Computer-era digital FX while delving into dark, introspective storytelling. Visual collaborator Jonathan Zawada’s artistry enhances the project with his hyperreal environments that juxtapose uneasy landscapes of natural beauty with the brutal aesthetics of a dystopian world.

Timothy ★★★★★

The analog warmth on this pressing is unreal, really captures the grit of those old synthesizers Pritchard dug up. Side A flows perfectly into the quieter moments, and the vinyl itself feels sturdy with zero surface noise. Been spinning it nonstop since it arrived.

Matthew ★★★★★

The packaging arrived perfectly flat with no warping, and the pressing is incredibly quiet between tracks—you can really hear the detail in those analog synth textures. Thom's voice sits beautifully in the mix, and it's one of those records I've already spun three times in a row.
