“Who are you?”

"Perfect Blue" is a psycho-suspense film that was released in theaters in 1998 and was the directorial debut of Satoshi Kon, known for "Paprika," "Millennium Actress," and "Tokyo Godfathers." It was novel of the same name by Yoshikazu Takeuchi and was animated by Madhouse. This world-famous masterpiece depicts the "dissociation between the image of oneself and others," a theme that has become vividly relevant to ordinary people over the years. The soundtrack, which allows you to relive the main story where fiction and reality blend together, is a mix of bright and refreshing idol pop and the unsettling music of Masahiro Ikumi , and is now available again in a newly remastered version.

Sophia Z. ★★★★★

This pressing really captures the dynamic range of the score beautifully, especially during the quieter, more tense passages. The packaging is also top-notch, with crisp artwork that does the film justice.

Sophia ★★★★★

The vinyl is dead quiet, and the remastered audio really brings out the tension in Masahiro Ikumi's score. Satoshi Kon's masterpiece deserves this pristine pressing, and it fits perfectly on my turntable.

Mia C. ★★★★★

Finally got my hands on this Japanese import pressing and the black vinyl is dead quiet, which is crucial for the atmospheric score. The remastering really brings out the subtle layers in the music that I never noticed before.
