Category: 12 Inch Vinyl Record

Parquet Courts brought a sweltering performance to the hallowed grounds of Third Man’s Blue Room on June 5th, 2014--and very fortunately, TMR was able to lovingly capture it direct-to-tape. The set included a dynamic selection of songs from the critically acclaimed album "Sunbathing Animal", as well as the 2013 EP, "Tally All The Things That You Broke." The end result? A record that will have your feet stompin’ and body rockin’ as soon as the needle hits.

Nicholas ★★★★★

The direct-to-tape recording gives this pressing a raw, immediate warmth that studio albums just don't have, and the Blue Room's acoustics really shine through on the quieter moments. I put it on and felt like I was crammed in that tiny room with the band, sweat and all.

Victoria ★★★★★

The live energy really comes through on this pressing — you can hear the crowd and the band feeding off each other. That direct-to-tape recording gives it a warmth that studio albums just don't have. It’s easily one of my favorite live records in my collection now.
