Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You is a sprawling double-LP exploring the deepest elements and possibilities of Big Thief. To truly dig into all that the music of Adrianne Lenker, Max Oleartchick, Buck Meek, and James Krivchenia desired in 2020, the band decided to write and record a rambling account of growth as individuals, musicians, and chosen family over 4 distinct recording sessions.

The gatefold sleeve is gorgeous and the vinyl itself plays with almost no surface noise. I've been spinning "Spud Infinity" on repeat since it arrived.

I was blown away by how clear and rich this double-LP sounds — the vinyl really lets Adrianne Lenker's fingerpicking shine. The sprawling tracklist feels like a journey that rewards repeated listens.

Was expecting a single LP, but the double-album sprawl is actually perfect for the deep, layered sound this record has. Side D’s quieter tracks feel like a nice comedown after the louder ones. Only wish the gatefold had more photos, but the vinyl itself plays clean.
