Category: 12 Inch Vinyl Record

Originally released in 1996, Kerosene 454’s sophomore album 'Came By To Kill Me’, is back in print after 28 years. These were the first recordings written exclusively with drummer Darren Zentek (formerly of the band, Glendale) and came at a time when the band felt like they were moving at 100 miles per hour. The album was recorded in the summer of 1996 with J. Robbins (Jawbox, Magpie Cage Studio) and Don Zientara at Inner Ear Studios with help from Juan Carrera (Warmers, Slowdime Records).

Thomas ★★★★★

The sea blue galaxy pressing is stunning in person, way more vivid than the mock-up suggested. Darren’s drumming sounds so raw and punchy on this vinyl, exactly how I hoped it would.

Jacob ★★★★★

Finally got my hands on this after 28 years — the vinyl pressing is dead quiet, and the sea-blue galaxy swirl really pops under a lamp. Darren's drumming hits so much harder on wax.

Sofia ★★★★☆

I've been waiting decades for this album to get a proper repress, and the sound quality on the 180g vinyl is crisp and full. The jacket art looks just as gritty and perfect as I remembered from my old CD. Only minor ding is a slight warp on side B, but it plays through fine.
