'Came By to Kill Me' is the sophomore album from this prolific Maryland/D.C. post-hardcore band. These were the first recordings written exclusively with drummer Darren Zentek (formerly of the band, Glendale) and came at a time when the band felt like they were moving at 100 miles per hour. The album was recorded over 6 days in the summer of 1996 with J. Robbins (Jawbox, Magpie Cage Studio) and Don Zientara at Inner Ear Studios with help from Juan Carrera (Warmers, Slowdime Records).

John ★★★★★

The eco-graphite vinyl pressing has a subtle, matte finish that looks way cooler in person than I expected. The B-side really lets the drums from Darren Zentek punch through with clarity. So glad I snagged this indie exclusive copy.

Richard ★★★★★

The gatefold feels sturdy and the graphite vinyl looks sharp, but the real win is how well Darren Zentek's drumming comes through on this pressing—every hit lands with a clean snap. It's their sophomore effort and you can hear the band locking into a darker, tighter groove than before. I've spun it

Scarlett ★★★★☆

Good pressing – quiet background and no skips on my first spin. The eco-friendly graphite vinyl looks cool, though I wish it came with a download card for the car. Really glad to have this album on wax finally.
