George X. ★★★★★

The pressing is dead quiet between tracks, which makes Michael Hurley’s rambling guitar and voice feel like he’s right in the room with you. I’ve spun it three times already and the low end stays warm without muddying the mix.

Scarlett ★★★★★

The album artwork on this 12-inch vinyl is gorgeous, with a muted, earthy palette that fits Michael Hurley’s folk sound perfectly. I’ve spun it three times already and the pressing is dead quiet, letting the banjo and harmonica shine through.
