Matthew K. ★★★★★

The translucent blue vinyl is stunning and plays perfectly flat with no surface noise. Monk’s interplay with the big band on tracks like “Let’s Cool One” is a real treat.

Carter ★★★★★

The big band arrangements on this one really open up Monk's playing in a way the quartet sessions don't, and the 180g vinyl feels hefty and solid in the hands. Oliver Nelson's charts give it a cinematic sweep, and the translucent blue disc looks stunning under the light.

Zoe M. ★★★★★

The pressing is dead quiet, which lets Monk's piano and that big band arrangement really breathe. The 180g vinyl feels substantial and the translucent blue color is a nice bonus.
