The Alexander Technique, Rex Orange County's fifth studio album, is a detailed portrait of Alex's lived experience from his early to mid 20's. The album was produced by Rex himself alongside Teo Halm and Jim Reed, in addition to James Blake who produced and features on the track "Look Me in the Eyes." Longer than any project he's ever made and more musically varied, The Alexander Technique was made over a matter of years and recorded at various studios including Abbey Road, Henson, Conway, Decoy and Black Rock.

Charlotte ★★★★★

The 2LP set sounds incredibly clean and dynamic, with the s'mores white vinyl looking exactly like the indie exclusive mockup. I've been spinning side A on repeat and the production really shines through on this format.

Alexander ★★★★★

I wasn't sure the s'mores white color would look good in person, but it's actually a gorgeous creamy marbled swirl that fits the warm tone of these songs perfectly. Both LPs are dead quiet with no warp, and the production by Teo Halm really shines on tracks like "2008.

Madison ★★★★★

The s'mores white pressing looks even better in person, and both LPs are dead flat with no surface noise. Rex produced this himself and you can hear it in how layered the tracks feel.
