Tuff City Salutes Hip Hop 50: The Solo MC's (RSD BF)

I’ve been spinning this non-stop since it arrived, and the track selection for the solo MCs is incredibly well-curated. The packaging feels sturdy and the vinyl plays crisp with minimal surface noise.

The crate-digging payoff is real here—the solo MC focus gives this 12-inch a tighter, more personal vibe than most compilations, and the pressing is clean with zero surface noise. Spun it twice in a row last night and the tracklist flows like a proper mixtape.

Picked this up on Record Store Day and the 12-inch pressing feels solid, with a nice weight to it. The tracklist does a good job spotlighting solo MCs across hip-hop's first fifty years, even if a couple of cuts feel like deep cuts only.
