I was skeptical about the literary concept, but the vinyl itself is dead quiet with zero surface noise, and the guitar work is razor sharp. The whole record has a raw, live feel that makes me want to play it on repeat.

The A-side literally opens with a guitar riff that sounds like Shakespeare and Proust wrestling through a time warp, it's as bonkers and brilliant as the liner notes promise. Spun it three times already and the crackle on the B-side adds this weirdly perfect vintage warmth.

The gatefold sleeve is heavier than I expected and the pressing itself came out perfectly flat, which I always worry about with a new record. The whole concept of Shakespeare and Proust wrestling over literary originality is so absurdly on-brand for this release, I’ve already spun it three times ton
