The 1993 Steve Albini Sessions

I’ve been spinning this Engine Kid session all week, and the raw guitar tone in the opening track hits just like you'd hope from a Steve Albini recording. The 12-inch pressing is dead quiet between songs, which really lets the dynamics breathe.

The vinyl feels solid and the track sequencing captures the raw energy of those 1993 sessions perfectly.

The bass frequencies on this pressing are incredibly punchy, exactly what you’d expect from an Albini session. It feels like I’m in the room with Engine Kid, and the 12-inch format really lets the raw energy breathe.
