The wah-wah guitar on “Theme from Shaft” sounds so crisp on this pressing, I heard details I’d missed for years. The vinyl is dead quiet between tracks, and the gatefold sleeve feels like a quality artifact from 1971.

The wah-wah guitar on 'Theme from Shaft' sounds incredibly crisp and warm on this 12-inch vinyl pressing, exactly how I hoped it would. It's a fantastic way to experience the Oscar-winning soundtrack from Isaac Hayes and the Bar-Kays.

I was a little worried about the pressing quality for a 50-year-old soundtrack, but this 180-gram vinyl is dead quiet and the bass really thumps on "Theme from Shaft". The gatefold sleeve feels substantial, too.
