Lily H. ★★★★★

The OBI strip adds a nice bit of Japanese-style flair to the digipak, which is already sturdier than most indie releases I've picked up. The whole 2008-09 session flows together really well, and the sound quality does justice to those lo-fi recordings.

Jason ★★★★☆

The digipak sleeve is a nice touch for this release, and the OBI strip makes it feel like a proper Japanese import. The songs on recordings 2008-09 have a raw, lo-fi charm that's grown on me after a few listens. Only knocked off a star because the sound quality could be a bit crisper for my taste.

Richard ★★★☆☆

I picked this up mostly for the digipak packaging, which is nice, but the mastering feels a bit flat on a couple of tracks. Still, the OBI strip is a cool touch for collectors.
