Recorded Live & Best Early Alfa Years [Import Hybrid SACD]

The hybrid SACD layer really brings Casiopea's early fusion to life—the 2013 remaster is noticeably cleaner than my old CDs, and the track selection from the Alfa years is spot-on. If you're into their vintage sound, this import is worth the hunt.

I’d been hunting for a solid Casiopea collection from their early period, and this hybrid SACD delivers crisp clarity without losing the warmth of the original recordings. The track selection covers their best fusion moments nicely, though I wish the liner notes were a bit more detailed.

The remastering in 2013 is a nice touch, and the hybrid SACD plays fine on my standard player, but I was expecting the early Alfa cuts to sound a bit more lively. The track selection is solid for longtime fans, yet it doesn't feel like a huge upgrade over my old CD versions.
