Penelope ★★★★★

Spinning this tonight after work — the warm 1974 production really lets his voice shine, and the Tamla pressing feels solid in the hand. Track after track, those self-penned songs hit differently, even the deep cuts I wasn't expecting.

Robert F. ★★★★★

The vinyl is dead quiet between tracks, letting Smokey's smooth vocals really shine through. I’ve had it on repeat all weekend and the pressing quality feels excellent for a 50-year-old album.

Lily ★★★★☆

I’ve always loved Smokey’s voice, and this solo album captures that smooth, warm feel perfectly. The pressing is clean and the record plays through without any noticeable surface noise. Only wish the gatefold included more liner notes or photos.
