Moshi Anison ga Subete Showa no Robot Anime Fu Datta Ra（進口版）

I was a bit skeptical about remakes of classic anime songs, but these Showa-era robot arrangements are incredibly faithful and energetic—the horns and synths sound perfect on vinyl.

The bass on this record hits just right, and the robot anime-style arrangements of these classic anison tracks are pure nostalgia. I’ve been spinning side A on repeat since it arrived.

The moment the needle dropped, that massive brass fanfare and mecha-style guitar riff completely sold the gimmick—it's exactly as fun as it sounds. Every track has that punchy, over-the-top orchestration you'd expect from a 70s super robot show, but with familiar melodies I already knew.
