I'm Just Like You：Sly's Stone Flower 1969-70

The pressing is dead quiet between tracks, which lets the lo-fi grit of these 1969-70 sessions really breathe. Hearing the transition from Stone Flower to what became There's a Riot Goin' On is like getting a secret history lesson.

I was blown away by how clean these rare Stone Flower tracks sound on vinyl—the clarity really brings out Sly’s funky arrangements. The gatefold sleeve feels sturdy too, which is nice for a compilation like this.

The pressing quality is excellent—quiet surfaces and a solid weight that feels substantial in the hands. The track "Thank You For Letting Me Be Myself" sounds incredibly crisp and warm on my turntable. Only wish the gatefold sleeve had a bit more liner note detail.
