Headlights CD

The production quality on this Alex G album really stands out—the fact it was recorded across Philadelphia and New York gives it a unique, layered sound. I’ve had it on repeat all week, and each listen reveals something new in the arrangements.

I’ve been listening to this record on repeat since it arrived—the production feels so raw and intimate, especially on the quieter tracks. The way the vocals blend with the guitar on side two is hauntingly beautiful.

The tracklist flows really well, and the recording quality feels raw but polished at the same time. I wish the liner notes included a bit more detail about the sessions, but the music itself is fantastic.
