Fastplants/The Mons Split LP

The 45rpm pressing really lets both sides breathe—the Mons track in particular has this clarity that makes the whole room feel wider. I've spun it three times since it landed and the surface is dead quiet between tracks. Split records can feel uneven, but this one's a keeper on both halves.

The bass rumbles deep on this split, and the 45rpm pressing gives both tracks a crispness that my older records lack. Even the quieter moments feel present in the room.

Both tracks lock in tight at 45rpm, so the bass feels punchier and the drums snap harder than on a standard 33. The split gives you two very different moods, but the pressing stays clean with barely any surface noise.
