Natalie J. ★★★★★

Cranked this up on a rainy Sunday and the gold vinyl really pops under the lamp, almost like the record itself is lit from within. Alejandro's reworkings of his old songs feel looser and more alive than the originals, and the pressing is dead quiet between tracks. Already planning a second spin toni

The gold vinyl is a nice touch—catches the light while it spins and feels a bit more special than standard black. Alejandro Escovedo's reworked versions here are fresh without losing the original grit. Only wish the inner sleeve was a bit sturdier for storage.

Henry S. ★★★★☆

The gold vinyl is a nice touch, and the sound quality is excellent. I just wish the album jacket had a lyric sheet or some liner notes to dive deeper into the reconceptualized songs. It’s still a great listen for any fan of Alejandro Escovedo’s work.
