Broken Homes and Gardens

The record sleeve has a nice matte finish that feels sturdy, and the vinyl itself plays clean with no surface noise. I've been spinning this on a rainy afternoon and it fits the mood perfectly.

I was pleasantly surprised by how warm and rich the analog sound is on this record — really brings out the texture in Michael Hurley's guitar work. The sleeve art is also nicely done and complements the music's rustic feel.

The pressing is dead quiet between tracks, which makes Michael Hurley’s rambling guitar and voice feel like he’s right in the room with you. I’ve spun it three times already and the low end stays warm without muddying the mix.
