Even compared to their earlier work, this album feels like stepping into a half-lit room where someone just opened a curtain. The vinyl itself is dead quiet between tracks, letting those sudden flashes of melody hit harder.

The colored vinyl pressing really pops against the black sleeve, and the optimism they mention cuts through the darkness perfectly. Side A flows so well I’ve listened to it three times already.

The vinyl arrived in perfect shape and the optimistic edge they described really comes through in the brighter guitar tones, especially on the second half. It’s still got that brooding intensity I loved from their earlier stuff, but this one’s been on my turntable every night since it landed.
