Fruit Bats' take on "As I Rise" has this warm, slightly dreamy quality that really makes the song feel new. The Anaïs Mitchell cover on the flip side is a beautiful contrast—raw and intimate. Glad I grabbed this 7-inch.

The 7-inch spins beautifully and the B-side pairing is clever, but I'm a little bummed there's no digital download included. Still, Fruit Bats' take on "As I Rise" is worth the turntable time.
