Steve Allen's Hip Fables (Violet Vinyl)

I threw this on the turntable last night and the vinyl is dead quiet between tracks, which is a relief for an indie pressing. Steve Allen’s piano work really pops through the mix, and the whole vibe is perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

The bongo and conga work on this pressing is so crisp it feels like Ray Mantilla's sitting right in my living room, and the violet vinyl spins dead quiet between tracks. Steve Allen's piano cuts through the Latin percussion beautifully, making for a fun, loose session that's perfect for a lazy Sunda

The violet vinyl is a beautiful deep purple that matches the beatnik vibe perfectly, and Steve Allen’s piano work really shines through on this pressing. Ray Mantilla’s congas and bongos come through crisp and clear, making every track feel alive. I’ve had this on repeat since it arrived.
