IJskasteel (Rhino Reserve)

The 180g vinyl feels substantial in hand, and the analog tape cut brings out a warmth in the horns and percussion that I didn’t expect from a digital stream. Side A plays through with zero surface noise, just a solid, punchy mix that fills the room.

The 180g black vinyl feels substantial in hand, and the analog tape cut brings out the low end on "Jungle Love" like I've never heard it. Side B plays dead quiet between tracks, which makes the horns hit that much harder. This is how you treat a classic funk record.

Finally, a pressing that does this album justice—the vinyl is dead quiet and the bass hits way harder than my old copy. I’ve been spinning “Jungle Love” back to back, and the 180g weight makes it feel like a premium release. Can’t believe how clean the analog tape transfer sounds.
