FINAL FANTASY TACTICS (Originele Soundtrack) [Import 2CD-set]

Having played the original game back in 1997, hearing these tracks in such crisp clarity on the import CDs is a genuine treat. The battle themes by Sakamoto and Iwata still give me chills, and the liner notes with the Japanese track titles add a nice authentic touch.

Even for an import, the sound quality on these two discs is fantastic—those Sakimoto and Iwata battle themes hit so much harder than streaming ever could. I have the Tactics Ogre set too, and this captures that same deep, orchestral feel perfectly for the PS1 classic.

The 2CD set includes all the iconic tracks from the game, though the sound quality on some older recordings feels a bit compressed. It’s a solid collection for fans, but the lack of any booklet or liner notes is a slight letdown.
