Afro-Disco Makossa (CD)

I’ve been playing this CD on repeat since it arrived—the way the bass lines weave through those Afro-disco grooves is incredibly addictive. The production feels rich and warm, like a live session in my living room.

That first track instantly pulls you in with its layered percussion, it feels like a full-band performance in your living room. The production is crisp without losing the raw energy of the Afro-disco and Makossa blend. I've been playing it on repeat since it arrived.

The bass line on track three has that deep, funky groove I was hoping for, though I wish the liner notes included more detail about the musicians. Overall it's a solid addition to my collection.
