マタ・レオン (タン・ヴァイナル)

Finally got this on vinyl for RSD — the pressing is dead quiet and lets that lean, three-piece sound really breathe. Side two’s groove is absolutely punishing.

The trio lineup gives this record a raw, stripped-down energy that comes through perfectly on the vinyl. It’s a Record Store Day find that feels like a proper collector’s piece, though I wish the sleeve had a bit more lyric detail.

The pressing itself sounds clean, and the trio lineup really lets the low end breathe on tracks like this. That said, the jacket arrived with a slight corner ding from shipping, which is a bit of a bummer for a RSD exclusive. Still, the music's solid if you're into their heavier, stripped-down era.
