Legacy of Brutalityは、ニュージャージー出身のパンクロックバンドMisfitsの初期の曲を集めたコンピレーションアルバムです。このアルバムには、主に1978年1月から2月のStatic Ageセッションからの、未発表曲のオーバーダブミックスが収録されています。Box Setの他に、このアルバムだけが「American Nightmare」と「Who Killed Marilyn?」を収録しています。このコンピレーションは、（海賊版を除けば）Static Ageの多くの曲を一般公開した最初の作品の一つでした。グレン・ダンジグは、ミックスとプロデュースを手がけ、元バンドメンバーに相談することなく、アルバムの素材の多くをオーバーダブしました。
