Encanto (ピクチャー・ディスク)

The artwork printed right on the vinyl is stunning, and the disc plays with minimal surface noise once the needle settles in. It’s a great way to own the soundtrack while having something that looks beautiful displayed on the turntable.

I was nervous about sound quality on a picture disc, but this one is surprisingly quiet with no surface noise during the quieter parts of "Dos Oruguitas." The full-color artwork across the vinyl makes it feel like a collectible piece rather than just a record.

The picture disc spins like a tiny art show, and the songs sound surprisingly warm for a vinyl with images baked in. I've played it three times tonight and the visuals still make me smile every rotation.
