Anatomy Of Angels: ヴィレッジ・ヴァンガード・ライヴ

That pressing is incredibly quiet — no surface noise at all between tracks, which lets the piano and crowd atmosphere really breathe. I’ve been spinning side two on repeat since it arrived.

The bass really comes through cleanly on this live recording, capturing the energy of the Village Vanguard. I just wish the liner notes included a bit more detail about the setlist.

The live energy comes through nicely on this pressing, but I wish the vinyl had better surface noise control—there's a faint crackle between tracks. Still, Jon Batiste’s performance here is compelling enough to overlook it.
