The Hold Steadyのクレイグ・フィンが、2022以来となる初のソロアルバム『Always Been』をリリース。本作は、フィンの長年の友人でありThe War on Drugsの中心人物であるアダム・グランデュシエルがプロデュースを担当。カリフォルニア州バーバンクのOne Cue Studioで2024を通じてレコーディングされた『Always Been』には、グランデュシエルのThe War on Drugsのバンドメイトをはじめ、多くのミュージシャンが参加。キャスリーン・エドワーズとサム・フェンダーがゲストボーカルを務めている。その音楽的な成果は、個性的で、意図的で、力強いものとなっている。『Always Been』はフィンの6枚目のソロアルバムであり、The Hold Steadyとの9枚のアルバムと並ぶ作品。前作のソロリリース『A Legacy of Rentals』がPitchfork、Rolling Stone、Aquarium Drunkardなどから年間賞賛を受けた中、『Always Been』はこの多作なストーリーテラー兼ソングライターにとって、エキサイティングな次のステップとして登場する。
