Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Mix 2017)

I popped this on the turntable and the clarity of the 2017 stereo mix is incredible—the brass and strings feel like they're in the room. The 12-inch vinyl itself is well-pressed and plays dead quiet between tracks.

The 2017 Giles Martin stereo mix breathes so much life into this pressing—the separation on "A Day in the Life" is stunning. The vinyl itself is quiet and flat, no pops on my first spin, and the gatefold feels sturdy. I've owned this album for years, but this version makes it feel brand new.

The 2017 Giles Martin mix gives this classic a cleaner, wider sound without losing its playful charm—the vinyl pressing is quiet and the sleeve feels sturdy. Only wish the packaging included a download code, but that's a minor gripe for an otherwise solid spin.
