Der Herr der Ringe: Die Filmtrilogie Soundtrack [Import-3CD-Set]

Finally, a complete set of the three soundtracks in one package — the orchestral sweep of "May It Be" sounds just as powerful on CD as I remember from the theater. Nice to have the Annie Lennox track included without having to buy a separate disc.

After years of borrowing my friend's copies, finally having my own set of all three scores feels complete—Howard Shore's "Into the West" still gives me chills every time. The enhanced CDs play smoothly in my car, though I wish the liner notes were a bit more detailed.

Now that I have all three scores together in this set, the transition from the Shire theme to the Rohirrim charge is seamless. Annie Lennox's "Into the West" still gives me chills every time.
