Jacob ★★★★★

The pressing is dead quiet, and Coltrane’s tenor really blooms on the wide stereo mix here—the gatefold sleeve feels sturdy enough to survive years of pulls from the shelf. I’ve played it twice already and the dynamics on “Impressions” still give me chills.

Nicholas ★★★★★

The gatefold sleeve on this Impressions pressing is beautifully sturdy, and the vinyl itself is dead quiet between tracks. John Coltrane's tenor sax really cuts through with incredible clarity on the acoustic sounds series mastering.

Joseph P. ★★★★★

I’ve been spinning this Impressions pressing all weekend, and the quiet vinyl surface lets every note from Coltrane’s saxophone breathe with incredible clarity. The gatefold sleeve is sturdy and the liner notes add great context for the live recordings. A must-have for any jazz collection on vinyl.
