Learn how to pick a giclée print that fits your space and style, with a closer look at the 'Once More Into the Unknown' poster from In Stars and Time.
Quick answer
Focus on the print's paper quality, size, and subject matter to match your wall space and personal taste. The 'Once More Into the Unknown' giclée print is a great example of a high-quality, fan-focused piece.
Why paper quality matters
Giclée prints use archival inks on fine-art paper, which gives them a longer life and richer color than standard posters. Look for mentions of heavyweight, acid-free paper to ensure your print resists yellowing over time.
Size and framing considerations
Standard sizes like 18x24 inches are easy to frame with ready-made frames from most craft stores. If you prefer a custom look, measure your wall space first and consider leaving a mat border around the print for a gallery feel.
How to choose your giclée print
- Check the paper and ink: Look for terms like 'archival pigment ink' and 'acid-free paper' to ensure longevity and color accuracy.
- Match size to your wall: Measure your wall space and consider the print's dimensions. A smaller print can be grouped with others, while a larger one becomes a focal point. Use painter's tape to outline the print size on your wall before buying.
- Choose a subject you love: Pick artwork that resonates with you personally, whether it's from a favorite game, movie, or original design. The 'Once More Into the Unknown' print is perfect for fans of In Stars and Time.
