Effinger, plus interviews with artists who knew or were inspired by Freddie Hubbard, such as Eddie Henderson, Jeremy Pelt, Steven Bernstein, Reggie Workman, Dan Morgenstern and others. Christopher ★★★★★

The crowd noise between tracks really puts you right there in that 1967 Bronx club. Freddie’s trumpet cuts through with such clarity, it’s hard to believe this was never released before.

Natalie I. ★★★★★

The sound quality on this pressing is incredible for a 1967 club recording—you can hear the crowd and that raw energy like you're right there in the Bronx. Freddie Hubbard's trumpet cuts through beautifully on my turntable, and the never-before-released aspect makes it a real gem for jazz fans.

Olivia M. ★★★★☆

The vinyl captures the raw energy of that 1967 Blue Morocco gig perfectly, and Hubbard’s trumpet cuts through the crowd noise like it’s right in the room. My only gripe is the surface noise on side two, but for a never-before-released live tape, it’s a fair trade.
