Live 1976

The live version of "The Last Time I Saw Richard" is just breathtaking, with her voice sounding so raw and immediate. This pressing is dead quiet and captures the energy of that 1976 tour perfectly.

I grabbed this for Record Store Day and the live sound quality really captures that 1976 tour energy—Joni’s voice cuts through clear and the L.A. Express backing is tight. The gatefold sleeve has a nice matte finish too.

The vinyl pressing is very quiet with almost no surface noise, which lets the live energy of these 1976 performances really shine through. I just wish the gatefold jacket included a tracklist or liner notes for context.
