Hindu Love Gods (180g Vinyl)

The raw energy of these blues covers is exactly what I was hoping for—you can hear the band just having fun in the studio. My 180g vinyl copy has no surface noise, and the spontaneous jam sessions really come through in the mix.

The pressing is dead quiet between tracks, which really lets the raw, unpolished energy of these blues and rock covers shine through. It’s exactly the loose, spontaneous session you’d hope for from this lineup, and the 180g weight feels solid in hand.

I was skeptical about a covers album from this lineup, but the raw energy on side two is infectious. The 180g vinyl really brings out the grit in Zevon's vocals and the bass line on "Raspberry Beret" hits harder than I expected.
