جورج كولمان في يوشي

I’d been waiting for a clean live jazz recording on vinyl, and this pressing of George Coleman at Yoshi’s more than delivers—the saxophone cuts through with such clarity you can almost feel the room. The 180-gram weight gives it a nice heft, and the jacket art captures the club’s vibe perfectly.

The vinyl pressing is dead quiet between tracks, letting the saxophone’s tone ring out clearly. I’ve been spinning it every night since it arrived, and the live crowd ambience makes me feel like I’m right there at Yoshi’s.

The live energy of that Yoshi’s show really comes through on this pressing—Coleman’s sax sounds warm and right up front, like you’re in the room. The 12-inch format gives the whole set plenty of space to breathe, and the record itself feels sturdy and well-made.
