Europe 1964 (4LP Box Set)

I was blown away by the clarity on this 4LP set—the interplay between Ayler and Cherry feels alive in the room. The packaging is sturdy and the liner notes add great context. Definitely a highlight from my Record Store Day haul.

The packaging is beautifully done—the heavyweight gatefold sleeves really protect the vinyl, and the liner notes add great context to the Ayler/Cherry sessions. I’ve had this spinning nonstop since it arrived.

The sound quality is decent for a live recording from this era, but the surface noise on my copy is a bit distracting. The box itself feels sturdy enough, and the liner notes are interesting. A solid set for fans, but not essential.
