Creature of Habit (CD)

The CD's booklet includes the full lyrics, which I always appreciate for catching every clever turn of phrase. Courtney's storytelling comes through crystal clear on this format, and the track sequencing feels perfectly paced from start to finish.

I was really happy with this CD—the booklet has some nice extra artwork that fits the mood of the songs. Courtney Barnett’s songwriting feels just as sharp and thoughtful in this collection. Only wish there were a few more tracks on it.

Courtney Barnett's songwriting is as sharp as ever here, but the sound quality on this CD feels a bit flat compared to what I expected from a new release. The track order flows nicely for a listen-through, though I wish the packaging had a bit more heft.
